Mason

A Mason in the construction industry plays a crucial role in building, altering, and repairing structures made of brick, stone, tile, concrete, and other durable materials. Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints/drawings to determine specifications and calculate materials required.
• Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to build or refurbish walls, arches, chimneys, and other structures.
• Apply and smooth mortar or other mixture over work surface.
• Operate heavy machinery and tools, such as mixers, saws, drills, and blowtorches.
• Restore, clean, and repair existing masonry structures.
• Ensure structures are level and compatible with local codes and regulations.
